We have analyzed the data released by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and we can say that Italy turns out to be the 4th export destination for Gabon Export. Gabon with a population of 2.4 million people exports about $170 million to Italy, where the main target sectors are the diesel industry and wood export.
In contrast, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the current trade interchange between Italy and Gabon is about $47.9 million. Italian exports grew by 15.98 percent in 2021, according to the OEC – Observatory on Economic Complexity , and the main target sectors are Food Products and Machinery and Parts for Industries.
High-quality raw materials along with high safety standards throughout the food and production process contribute to the global success of Italian food. As a result, we are happy to understand that Italian products are beginning to be appreciated by Gabonese consumers.
Maritime agencies such as Frabemar are key players in encouraging trade exchange between the parties through its daily collaboration as an agent with the Conseil Gabonais des Chargeurs – CGC which plays an important key role in the Gabonese economy.
