Italy Angola united to diversify trade.

The current trade exchange between Italy and Angola after the Covid-19 outbreak is around 280 million euros. Italian exports in 2021 grew by 47.7 percent,ICE/ITA – Italian Trade Agency reports. On the other hand, the Angolan Export is around 120 million Euros, where however, the main sector of reference remains the Gas-Oil sector.

Angola has introduced an economic reform process in the country that the Executive has publicized to give the private sector a chance to manage state assets, under the privatization program, “PROPRIV.”

In April this year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources signed a declaration of intent that will enable the launch of new initiatives and projects, to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the joint effort to diversify sources of supply and in the energy transition process.

Not only that, the desire between the two governments is to foster trade in several pivotal areas including: agribusiness, health and education.

In order to ensure the efficiency of foreign investment, training a skilled local workforce and a superior social and health care structure is vital.
